Happy Thanksgiving!

There's a lot to be thankful for all the time, but here are a few of my highlights. Sound off in the comments about what you are thankful for this year!

I'm thankful for my husband who supports me in all my craziness and even encourages me. He makes it all worth while!
I'm thankful for my job and the fact that it gives me the opportunity to help people. So far the people I work with have been awesome and I've looked forward to going in each night. Some of them think I'm weird to be so excited to be there, but this place has real potential to be the best and I have the opportunity to help make that happen with them.
I'm thankful that today I get to start evening shift on the locked ward. It's a big deal and I'm going to meet the most interesting people there. Added bonus, my patients will be awake and interactive and I get to sleep with my husband at night! Yay!

I'm thankful that the kittens I first saw in October have come inside and are slowly getting used to us. It's been less than a week and already they will lay out in the open and eat in front of us. They don't like being touched yet, but we can approach them with out them freaking out now. I think they are between 8 and 10 weeks old and we have no idea what their sexes are yet. It'll be a surprise.

Tanus

Kate our gray chicken hurt her leg, but she's healing up and we're all thankful she is back outside with the other chickens. I don't think she liked being inside and watching her hobble around out there makes me smile. Hopefully in a few weeks she'll be back to normal!

Healing nicely!

Yesterday we discovered our first egg! I think Alexis laid it. It's tiny, but perfectly formed. I hope they stay spotted!

The first egg!
I'm super thankful that my household has come through this year almost intact and has even managed to grow a bit We will never be the same, but we are in the homestretch now and 2015 is going out on a super high note. I'm really thankful for everything I have and the chances we will have.
Life is great and I get to find the awesome in every day. That is something to be thankful for.

I'm so excited!

So far 48 people have gotten the free kindle of my short story! It makes me feel really good that that many people are reading my work. I hope that you like it! Just remember to get it by Christmas Eve, that's when the free promotion ends and it goes back to costing. Also, please let me know what you think!
I really appreciate your support!
In other news, Sylvia is getting stickered up and will be sporting beautiful and shiny stickers! You can never have too much reflectivity. I'll get some shots posted soon. Riding her to work is fantastic, but I sometime wish it was longer. I'm allowed to park her in the break room so she is totally safe.
I am so grateful that I got this job and I really hope to keep it after the holidays. The hours are just what I need to get by and the people are Amazing! Keep your fingers crossed for me please!
Thanks and have fun!

A pleasant Monday meeting

I went to an appointment on Monday and they didn't have bike parking anywhere so I just took Sylvia in. The man I was meeting was super nice about it and held the door for me and everything. His company doesn't need our services, but it was still nice to meet someone new. That has to be my favorite part of my job. I get to meet new people every day, and I get to learn about different types of businesses. I'm really lucky I literally stumbled on this job! I got to learn a little about how charter schools get funded and how the decision on who to fund is made. I also learned a bit about how to tell if they will be around for a bit or are just fly by nights. It was something I had never thought of before. He said he was going to keep us in mind if he needed any web work done so that's a win.

On my way out he took a picture of me with Sylvia for me with my phone. It's really rare for me to have someone around to take my picture so I am grateful he did! He's thinking of starting to ride again himself. I hope I see him out there!

I Now Have A Client!

I signed my first client yesterday afternoon and it was great! They have the most interesting items for sale, it's like nothing I've ever seen before. They are Anywhere Tactical and they make break down mats that can be used anywhere! I'm going to find out which one to get my brother for Christmas. They brought in samples and these things are really heavy duty. I can't wait to help their business grow! They are also a very nice family and I really enjoyed meeting them and can't wait to see them again! I'm so happy! My first client is great!
It's exciting to be an actual agent now working with Helix House Internet Marketing Agency. The more I learn and study the more I realize that I can really help others live and grow their dreams. We get their name out there and get them exposure that they can't get for themselves. It's a great feeling to finally find a way I can help others without hurting myself. I'm really grateful to have this opportunity.
In photography news I have some photos up in Artworx Studio. I think it would be great to sell a few and if you're in the Tucson, AZ area check them out. As soon as I know when the show officially opens I'm inviting the office to come see, but they're hanging now.
Life is exciting and I can't believe how fast it's moving. It's a really wild ride!
Here's some shots we took at this years Mosey For Mutts. My husband and I were honored to be invited to shoot it! It was great!

Today is My First Appointment!

Today I get to go out for my first appt. I'm so excited! I hope it goes really well and I can get my first client! Wish me luck!
So far the new job is going well, it's a lot of calling and people saying no though. Yesterday I got two more appts scheduled though so I'm doing great! I just hope I can make them into clients. It's all so new and exciting! I'm really glad I chose this over nasty salon. This is a real adventure.
Now it's back to research so I'm ready for this afternoon!
The future is wide open!

Job Hunting Is...

I'm looking for a part time job to add to my insanity.
The place my husband works is laying off people and he's worried that his job could go at any time. It's not a good feeling at all. Just when things were going so well and the house was actually company ready. He He He! I really hope he doesn't lose his job, he really likes it and is great at it. Plus I like food and shelter.
I make a bit from my art and now my photos, but it won't be enough if the worst happens. Everything I get from a job will go to pay ahead on bills and straight into savings. I hope it'll be enough.
Geronimo! I'm going in!
I have an technical interview for a stylist job tomorrow. I have to do 3 technical cuts in under an hour. I have faith that I can do it, but it doesn't stop me from being a bit nervous. If I get the job it's an easy 3 mile bike ride from my house. Remember when I could barely go a mile? I haven't been riding much due to the heat, but this will get me off my butt!
The trip home takes me right through one of my favorite parks to take pictures at. I could do portraits after my shift was up and it would be perfect. I can also get to the zoo from there for exotic animal shots if I want. I really hope I get this job.
My writing schedule will have to go back to my lunch break and after dark, but that was when I did it for years so no big deal. Speaking of writing, due to their busy schedule I won't find out if any of my shorts have been accepted until November. BLAH! Patience is not my virtue. I do have a few articles almost done to send out. I hope something sticks, I'm tired of the bounce backs already.
It's been fun being a house wife, even if I was busy doing everything but the house most of the time. I'm really going to miss being my own boss, but I can make it work. After all I'm Super Betty!
Wish me luck!
The path takes another turn.
