I went to an appointment on Monday and they didn't have bike parking anywhere so I just took Sylvia in. The man I was meeting was super nice about it and held the door for me and everything. His company doesn't need our services, but it was still nice to meet someone new. That has to be my favorite part of my job. I get to meet new people every day, and I get to learn about different types of businesses. I'm really lucky I literally stumbled on this job! I got to learn a little about how charter schools get funded and how the decision on who to fund is made. I also learned a bit about how to tell if they will be around for a bit or are just fly by nights. It was something I had never thought of before. He said he was going to keep us in mind if he needed any web work done so that's a win.
On my way out he took a picture of me with Sylvia for me with my phone. It's really rare for me to have someone around to take my picture so I am grateful he did! He's thinking of starting to ride again himself. I hope I see him out there!

ReplyDeleteNice to have a job that you enjoy. I never really understood people who hate what they do all day. Great photo of you two girls! Nice to have a face with the name now. I was starting to think that Sylvia was doing all the blogging :)
I couldn't think of what else to do so I just rolled her in. I've been trying to get my husband to take pics of me for over a month now for my website, but he's to busy. It's hard to get pics when you're always the one behind the camera. :) It would be cool if she could do the blogging!
