A Few Close-Ups From My Porch

I get to spend the day taking shots (again) of my paintings for etsy. For  a warm up I practiced on the plants on my porch. Here are my favorites plus one of the photos I'm liking of a painting!
My love rose is done for the year. It's already too hot.

I love my shamrock, it's been with me for 15 years and keeps having babies.

This mint gives me fits. I swear it waits for the 90's before it even starts growing back.

I love this painting. Can you find the cat?

  1. I love all of these!!!! haha I wish my mint would go away! I can't seem to get rid of it, in fact I'm doing a post soon about it because it's taking over my garden!

    1. That's why I keep mine in a pot. It can't escape!

  2. That is a beautiful painting. And I love mint...but like you, only in containers. It is very aggressive in the garden, and spreads like a weed!

    1. I like to make tea out of it. It gets so big that I'm set for mint for life! Definitely would take over a yard though.

  3. I love the cat in your painting. At first I missed it - and then it leapt out at me.
We are too dry here. Mint needs to be nurtured. And my chocolate mint seems to have gone to god.

    1. Have you tried bringing it in and giving it a good soak? I hope it comes back for you! If it gets to over 110 here I bring my plants in. It seems to work well until the cats find them.
